BUMS course is five years duration with a one-year internship at the relevant hospital and comprises subjects of Tashrih-ul-Badan (Anatomy) Afal-ul-Aza (Physiology) Hiyate Kimia (Biochemistry), Kulliyet e Tibb Wa Tarikh e Tibb (Mediconomy & History of Unani Medicine), Ilmul Advia (Unani Pharmacology & Pharmaconomy), Mahiatul Amraj Wa Elme Hiyate Khurd (Pathology & Microbiology), Ilmus Saidalah Wa Murakkabat (Pharmacy & Poly pharmaceuticals), Tibbe Kanoon Wa Elmus Sumum (Forensic Medicine & Toxicology), Samaji Tibb (Community Medicine), Moalijat (Internal Unani Medicine), Jarahiyat (Surgery), Amraj-e-Ain wa Uzoon, Anaf, Halak (Ophthalmology & ENT), Amraj-e-Nswan wa Ilmul Qabalat (Gynecology & Obstetrics) and Amraj-e-Atfal (Paediatrics) There are three professional examinations during the BUMS course and marks distribution and teaching hours as follows:
